Katchy
Main features
Our runner-up mosquito zapper comes from Katchy. In addition to its stylish design, this device has a lot of exciting features to offer. First of all, it is not technically a zapper as there is no electrified grid involved and nothing gets zapped. Instead, Katchy attracts the bugs with a UV light, then the fan sucks them in and they land on a sticky glue board from which they cannot escape. This way, the bugs don’t clutter your worktop and the process is clean and effective.
Use and design
Using Katchy is as simple as ABC. All you need to do is choose between the standard and low fan speed settings and leave the device where you think it’s best and most effective. That’s all there is to it! The package comes with 4 no-mess glue boards, and if needed, refill packs with 8 glue pads are available to purchase separately. When the adhesive board is full, you can throw it away and replace it with a new one. One glue board can stay sticky for months, and with 8 extra replacement glue pads, you will be good for the whole year. We must mention, though, that Katchy is not intended for outdoor use.
Value
Overall, Katchy is definitely worth your attention. Thanks to its aesthetically pleasing design, it will easily blend in with your home’s interior. People also seem to appreciate that this device comes with spare glue boards and that refill packs are available, because it means you can use the device for a long time. However, some people have complained that the Katchy is not as effective as they thought it would be, so in the end it’s up to you to make this decision.
